With passion, intensity and devotion Instinkt gives traditional Danish folkmusic a new voice, showing how our times of interkulturelle diversity, openness, and willingness to experiment are reflected against the traditions.

All of the members of INSTINKT have a long standing relationship with the Danish/Nordic music tradition. Some have also played Irish and French-Canadian folkmusic. And all have played in other genrer as well. It is the meeting of these traditions and diverse musical experiences that feeds the creativity and results in Instinkt producing the hybrid of music with a folkmusic tone and feeling.

Instinkts special style and sound are characterised by a special blend of instruments: strings, hurdy-gurdy, jawharp, flutes, bass and dums - together with more exotic live sound sources.
