Toseti (Thomas Restoin-Johan Jacquemoud)

The album "Toseti" is born of the encounter of two solo recording projects. Johan Jacquemoud (double bass) and Thomas Restoin (accordion) decided after several collaborations (folkaorange, les doigts de carmen, garlic bread ...) to share their different compositions. Marriage sounds of both instruments appear soon as a query and creates a mutual inspiration to get in shape and space in an original musical universe. This atmosphere has close links with various traditional music but also with some currents of contemporary minimalist music. It is the unexpected marriage between these two aesthetic found through simple melodies, the modality, the use of drones and repetition of sequences. At once intimate and highly evocative music "Toseti" constantly invites the listeners to create their own pictures.
