”Rikedom och gåvor” (wealth and gifts) forms a new chapter in the tale of the Swedish folk music group Svanevit, who this time heads south towards the flat country of Skåne, the southernmost part of Sweden, where they found new material in the immense collections of the great fiddler John Enninger. This sequel to Svanevit’s critically acclaimed debut album “Gryning” from 2005 offers songs, ballads, chorals and dance tunes on a plethora of instruments, ranging from medieval bagpipes to harp and fiddle, as well as Anders Larsson’s silky-smooth vocals. The intricate and ever-changing arrangements make sure that the listener is always kept in thrall by the passion and grace that is Svanevit !
