Abysses (Jean-Luc Chevalier & David Sauvourel)

This acoustic guitar duo of David Sauvourel and Jean-Luc Chevalier (member of the famous Tri Yann Breton band and), dispenses with words. Just listen to these compositions and exchanges of notes to stimulate our imagination. Abyss is in this sense a journey to distant lands. This exploration of the heart sound creation, sometimes assimilated to a real game of question / answer between the two musicians, pays tribute to many world music such as "Waltz for France", "Manha de Carnival" (Luis Bonfa) or "Yiddish". Made in studio Marzelle, Abyss oscillates between jazz and blues, with here and there some improvisations. Covers of traditional music like "Greensleeves" and "Samba gypsy" will also delight fans.
