Dánjal is an up-and-coming artist from the Faroe Islands, and much like the weather, his music can change from storm into a calm whisper in a second. With his background as an actor, Dánjal has an eminent ability to interact with the audience. The songs are being presented illustratively and in the present with humor and intimacy. Dánjal can make you smile with a bad taste in your mouth. It is basically storytelling rock with roots in Faroese folk, Balkan and Tango. Dánjal is very dynamic and sensitive and likes to touch the extremes. But most importantly, Dánjal is a fascinating live act. It is a joy to see his music, his lyrics and his performing skills come together in one.
