Veziana, which means «joyful» in medieval Occitan, is a French-Pyrenean group whose music may be defined as a crossroad of styles. From the Middle Age to these days, and on either side deths Pirénéus, a deep rich vein of sonorities, musical practices and emotions have undergone a process of assimilation and exchange. Veziana is also a sound in itself, characterized by ensembles of voices, viola da gamba, qanoun, harp, hurdy-gurdies, bag-pipes and percussion.
