D'AC is an unusual duo, voice and bass guitar, 3 instruments : acoustic, jazz and fretless. A bewitching voice and accompaniment rich in harmonic variations, the balance is subtle and improvisation plays an important part. D'AC reveals itself stripped to the essentials, totally without artifice, responding to the moment with tangible emotion. The repertoire is varied including standards (also texts to the music of Duke Ellington and Miles Davis), the Beatles, Piaf, and new compositions. The blend of jazz, coloured with soul, reggae and Indian music create an album with its own strong identity.
